BAM (Business Activity Monitoring) is a software and an management activity to get real time metrics of transactions, processes, exceptions, operations etc., usually in an automated fashion. It supports making decisions that may relate to specific transactions but can also make use of aggregate and historical contexts. It is usually deployed as part of real-time data integration, business process management or business intelligence.
