The Business Architect leads the Application Development Workstream and is responsible for overall planning and process development for the business components. The Business Architect is expected to understand market capabilities, recommend changes in the business processes based on valid business cases and most importantly, assign an architecture / structure for conducting business. The Business Architect allocates the different functional components to different domains, working interactively with the architects in the other domains.

Responsibilities
- Develop a suitable framework and standards for managing business modeling, requirements management, and business delivery systems, from which a business or technology solution can then be developed.
- Deliver consistent business analysis standards, guidelines and proven techniques.
- Translate and transform the business architecture in the defined Blueprint into operational capabilities and specifications.
- Deliver processes within their respective business context and initiative. Specify the business functional architecture for systems, scope of work and processes.
