BPM (Business Process Management) is a software and an management activity that aims to improve and optimise organisational business processes. Repetitive business activities are organised as business processes with roles, actions, interactions, process goals and supporting infrastructure. BPM usually involves performing business process analsysis, creating a process architecture, modeling business processes, performing business process improvement and carrying out business activity monitoring. BPM software can also support the automation or semi-automation of business processes, also often referred to as Workflow.
