Key aspects of these indicators and their application is as follows:

  • This model is not a vendor capability rating; the purpose of this model is to map whether vendor products should be applied to specific Core Solution Offerings.
  • In order to show completeness of a solution offering, an architectural component list should also be defined that maps to each vendor solution offering.
  • Vendors will sometimes offer 'lite' versions of their product for small-to-medium size enterprises. For most Solution Offerings mapping the more sophisticated of the products has been selected as the primary fit.
  • This product model defined in this article is focused on the specific products needed to fulfill this solution. For example all projects require a baseline infrastructure platform but these components may not be listed in the solution.

This model is only supposed to be indicative and should not replace diligence in product selection. Contributors are encouraged to edit these models through changing indicators or adding comments below.

Comments

  • It is assumed that the organisation is a large-scale enterprise and therefore the Enterprise edition of product has been chosen.
  • The Mobile Device Access Solution Offering scope is strictly defined as providing access to mobile devices and therefore product requirements are limited. It is typical that other products will be required.
