From MIKE2 Methodology
The MIKE2.0 Wiki is part of the collaborative environment for the MIKE2.0 Methodology for Information Development. This collaborative environment includes this wiki, a social bookmarking site (OM Bookmarks), a group blog (OM Blogs) and full text search (based on Google Custom Search). On this wiki users can participate in developing the MIKE2.0 Methodology, discuss and develop solutions together with other Information Management professionals and also describe their own projects and experiences.
The long-term goal is that the MIKE2.0 will be part of a larger Open Methodology Framework; for now the MIKE2.0 Wiki and the other aspects of the collaboration environment comprises all the functionality of this framework. Key aspects of the MIKE2.0 Wiki implementation include:
- The main technology is provided through MediaWiki
- A number of MediaWiki Extensions have been installed from the open source community. These extensions help provide additional functionality to the core MediaWiki software.
To under the content in MIKE2.0 better, the best place to start is the Introduction and Overview and Key Concepts before reviewing some of the Introductory Training presentations. To get a more detailed view, you should begin looking at detailed activities in the Overall Implementation Guide or MIKE2.0 Solutions in your particular area of interest. Finally, it makes sense to review the approach behind the Data Governance and Management Consortium and Licensing Model.
