MIKE2.0 is a voluntary community to create a methodology for Information Development. Some key aspects that should be noted regarding use of MIKE2.0 content are as follows:

• The MIKE2.0 community uses a wiki technology to allow users to add content to the site. Use of this technology provides an inherit flexibility that may result in inappropriate content being added to the site.

• Through the Framework, there are some controls in place that help add stability to the use of a wiki-based approach. For example, unlike some wikis, MIKE2.0 does try and put some restrictions in place around which users can edit content. The rationale behind this approach is that as MIKE2.0 is a method that users will rely on for implementation, there needs to be some stability in the core content. This approach is currently being trialled during the initial Beta Period and may undergo some revisions based on its effectiveness.

• Despite the Governance Process which include the use of Peer Reviews, the validity of the content on this site cannot be guaranteed.

• All Contributors to MIKE2.0 are acting as individuals as opposed to on behalf on an organisation that they may work for.

• All content in MIKE2.0 will be made freely available under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution License.

This disclaimer will be revised/formulated in more detail with the handover of MIKE2.0 content to the Data Governance and Management Consortium.
