Metadata Management Packages

Metadata Management Packages are applications – either custom built or vendor supplied - specifically for the creation and maintenance of metadata. Historically, metadata management applications have been distributed and disconnected with redundant and inconsistent metadata defined across the organisation. Management Packages can be aligned in conjunction with Metadata Services model to increase reuse and consistency. Vendor supplied application metadata stores are integrated through Enabling Technologies and Foundation Capabilities to facilitate synchronisation and metadata ownership.
