Needs Based Requirements are collected through interviews and typically capture requirements from a diverse stakeholder community.
Needs Based Requirements focus on:
- Current-state issues
- Future-state vision
- Prioritisation of requirements
- Meaures to determine success
Interviews can be conducted through workshops or in a 1-to-1 fashion. 1-to-1 interviews typically last 1-hour. The initial interviews will focus on free-form questions but will have some objective questions. There should be follow-up after the initial interview and typically later interviews are either more objective or focused on re-fining content.
