Network Component

The Network is made up of LANs, WAN, Intranet and Internet capabilities. The network is a foundation capability for nearly all applications and processes. Demands on the network continue to increase dramatically due to growing data volumes, but this an area of relative stability from a technology perspective as it impacts information management. New network technologies such as VOIP have introduced significant changes to this area and new business capabilities.
