Activities 3.3, 3.5, 3.7 and 3.8 may need more inclusive titles (Information Governance instead of Data Governance) Tasks 5.11.1, 5.12.1, 5.12.2, 5.12.3, 5.12.4 and 5.15.3 may need more inclusive titles (Information Governance instead of Data Governance)

11/8/2007, per Rob Hillard: A lot of the time the two terms are used interchangeably. Data Governance should be a subset of Information Governance, but I don't know if our IP is sufficiently mature to assume that is the case in what you are reading and we will need to look at it on a case-by-case basis. I do think we need to add some sections on unstructured and semi-structured (records) type data.
