I am happy with most of these but I am having trouble understanding the model query entry. What does "abstracts the detail" mean in plain English? What do you use model query for? What does the reference to service orientated application development mean? Is this only for SOA metadata?

Abstracting the detail means making it easier for a business user to access the data they want, the metadata provides an abstraction from the underlying table names and table structures. The the same as the concept of a Business Objects Universe. Sean.mcclowry 02:40, 22 March 2007 (EDT)
